Portfolio of Jason M. Brinkofski
Below you will find my portfolio. Much of the work I've done is solely for the internal use of the companies I've worked for, so some of the items listed in the portfolio are demo pages of programs I have written or simple screen grabs of designs I have done. To see the various aspects of each job, click the [design], [development], [multi-media], or [URL] links. I am currently in the process of creating parts of this portfolio. While most of the links are working, some will not yet work.
Aon/Affinity Insurance Services (3/2008 - Present) [URL]
At Aon I am a web usability specialist, which entails all areas of coding sites and applying known usability standards to maximize the user experience of the sites. I am also am the "glue" that makes the designs work within the parameters of the e-commerce developers' code and vice-versa, all while maintaining cross-browser compatibility back as far as IE6 and highly optimized code for search engine marketing.
Examples
LexisNexis: Martindale-Hubbell (3/2006 - 4/2008)
At LexisNexis, I was one of about 10 web designers/coders/webmasters responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of 500+ sites (all about 20 - 40 pages deep). My primary responsibilities were in coding custom designed sites, due to my extensive experience and expertise in Photoshop, HTML and CSS. Every custom website client that LexisNexis: Martindale-Hubbell has is a lawyer or a law firm.

Keystone Nazareth Bank and Trust (1/2006 - 3/2006) [design] - [development]
At KNBT I was a webmaster, web designer, and web developer.
Designs
ASP.Net / VB.net / MSSQL Development
Systems Sales Corporation (1/2006) [URL]
I was hired as a freelance designer to redesign the Systems Sales Corporation website, www.sscnj.com. I designed all of the graphics, set up a simple e-mailing contact form, and created some simple flash animations on the homepage for glitz. The site is nearly complete, only awaiting content to fill some of the drill-down pages.
Bethlehem Church (1/2005 - 10/2005) [URL] - [design] - [development]
At Bethlehem Church, I was a webmaster, web designer, and web developer. The main project, designing www.bethlehemchurch.org, involved having a branded site with stylized sub-categories (ministries).
Designs
PHP / MySql / MovableType Development
Checkgauge (8/2007) [URL]
I designed, coded, and developed this website and it's many functions for the band Checkgauge.
PHP / MySql Development
- Tour Date Program
- Custom Photo Gallery Content Management System w/Ajax photo gallery
Fia Photography 6/2007 [URL]
I freelanced as the Developer for Fia Photography when they created their website. This design incorporates Flash (SlideShowPro), Javascript, PHP and XHTML. I also optimized this site for Search Engines (as much as possible with the client not wanting any homepage content) by creating proper meta tags, semantic and streamlined coding, and keyword significant content.
Mobos (5/2007) [URL]
I freelanced as the Developer for Mobos after their design was approved, but the designer couldn't figure out how to turn it into CSS/XHTML due to the unusual diagonal navigation. I figured it out, spliced it up, and it is working like a charm. This is a simple CSS, Javascript, PHP and XHTML driven site.
CSTM Home Improvements (4/2007) [URL]
I freelanced as the Developer for CSTM Home Improvements when they redesigned their website. This is a simple CSS, Javascript, PHP and XHTML driven site.
Sean Morris Memorial Golf Benefit (5/2007) [URL]
I freelanced as the Developer for the Sean Morris Memorial Golf Tournament site when they needed a website to promote the charity event. This site incorporates SlideshowPro, PHP, MySQL, and Flash Elements.
Edgar Brown, Sports Artist(12/2006) [URL]
I freelanced as the Developer for edgarbrown.com when Edgar (who is also a talented web designer) was redesigning the site. I implemented professional CSS, XHTML, Flash Elements, PHP, Paypal functionality, and Javascript.
Epic Auto Rental (8/2007) [URL]
I freelanced as the Developer for Epic Auto Rentals when they redesigned their website. This site incorporates some nifty AJAX scripts for showing the information about the cars and it also incorporates a 3rd party rental software.
System Design Associates (7/2007) [URL]
I freelanced as the Designer/Developer for System Design Associates to redesign their website. This site incorporated an AJAX based Content Management System, a customized PHP file manager, mail forms, 1 simple Flash animation, and password protected pages
Annie Brinkofski's Photo Journal Site (5/2006) [URL]
This site is currently password protected. For those who would be interested in viewing this site, and who understand the following statement: check the alt tag of the picture.
I will admit that this site is completely personal, but how could I not list the website of the cutest little girl in the world on here? At any rate, Annie's site is not as simple as it seems. It incorporates 3 ways of viewing images (2 Ajax based and 1 Flash/MySql based) and has navigation that updates dynamically whenever a new month or new images are placed on the site via the PHP/MySql scripts that I developed.
KeithMcGonigle.com (1/2006) [URL]
I freelanced as the CSS / HTML designer alongside of a graphic designer to create www.keithmcgonigle.com. I also created some simple Content Management tools using PHP / MySql for Mr. McGonigle.
PHP / MySql Development
- Custom Content Management System that allows Keith to simply update his Bio, Teaching Philosophy, News, and News Archives pages.
Kurios (3/2004 - 2007) [design] - [development] - [multi-media]

Being in this band gave me a wealth of opportunities to design logos for T-shirts, web, print, and other various media.
Designs
Multi-Media
- Kurios E-Card
- Funny Tour Videos
Crossnet U.S. (3/2004) [URL]
I designed www.crossnetus.com, but the underlying PHP code was done by a different Developer (who happens to also own the site).
Update (August 2008) - it seems this site has been changed to a templated blogger site without my knowledge. They are still using my header graphic, but the site design is no longer mine (if it were, I'd be fairly embarassd).
CSS Zen Garden - Official Design #32 - Crab Apple (7/2003) [URL]
The CSS Zen Garden is a showplace for the worlds best CSS designers to basically show off. Every design submitted is critiqued rigorously and only the best become official designs. My design, Crab Apple, is the thirty-second official entry. You should really check this whole site out, it's amazing and inspirational.
Registrar and Transfer Company (9/2002 - 10/2002) [design] - [multi-media]
At Registrar and Transfer Company I consulted briefly as a multi-media designer / webmaster.
