About Jason M. Brinkofski

If you don't want to hear about me in my own words, find out what others are saying about me!

There are thousands of candidates' résumés piling up on your desk. Most of them are from people who are terribly unqualified for the position you're trying to fill, but there are about 10 that might work. You don't want to interview all ten, so you narrow it down to three… but how? Sound familiar? There's no way to know if one candidate's personality might be a better fit than another one's by looking at their "what I can do" based resume. So I'm making it easier for you to either narrow it down to me and two other people, or just narrow it down to "definitely not that Jason M. Brinkofski" person. This little section tells you about who I am as a normal person. Although you'll likely find out, normal isn't the word most people would use to describe me.

First off, I never ever go by Jason, except when it comes to being "Official" (for instance, on my résumé). I prefer to go by Jai (it's pronounced "Jay", I spell it oddly to set myself apart a bit). There's a short story behind that, but I'm not going to bore you with it here. So if you call me, ask for Jai Brinkofski. You'll make a good impression on me from the start. Plus, I'll know you read this!

Jai and Becky's WeddingAnnie BrinkofskiI'm a married man as of September 22nd, 2001. I met my wife in college and it has been an amazing experience so far. We have one beautiful daughter, Annie, born on May 28th 2006, and one on the way on or around November 6th, 2008. First and foremost, my family is the reason that I strive to be the best worker possible. I need to secure them enough to pay the bills and be fed, and hopefully be able to save some money for the kids to go to college. Once, on an application I had filled out, it actually asked me "Why do you want to work for the *insert type of corporation here* industry?" I think that's a silly question. As long as it's not an immoral industry (such as the Adult websites who have been interested in hiring me), then it doesn't matter the industry. Great websites can be created for any industry, from aviation to zebra-shipping (a - z, get it? I know, bad joke). I just want to be paid well enough to support my family for the excellent service I will provide.

Good quality web design is my specialty. I'm sort of a utility player when it comes to web technologies. I've worked in many different environments with many different code languages and many different content management systems. But above all of the skills I posses, designing stunning visual sites with CSS / HTML and Photoshop is my best. And being that I have many of the database skills, development skills, and various other skills to go along with that, sites that I have been working on recently have benefited from all angles. They look great, are functional and dynamic, easily updated, compatible with all modern browsers, search engine freindly, and often even fairly accessible to handicapped individuals.

In a nutshell, all of this is the person that I am today. I'm not your "run of the mill" candidate. I love to bring as much passion to work as I possibly can, to make work as exciting as possible for me and my co-workers. But enough of me telling you about me. Here's what people who I have worked with (or for) have to say about me:

"Jai came on as a temporary employee and really showed that he had what it takes to make an impact on the group. He had the ability to make adjustments and modifications to others' code. "Gets things done" and a positive attitude are some of the words that I would use to describe Jai.

He is a pleasure to work with. He always has a very positive attitude and will do whatever is asked of him. I have never heard him say "no", "can't" or "won't". For example when I asked Jai to help with the design backlog of other designers he was happy to step up and he produced a number of outstanding designs."

John Phillips, Custom Websites Manager, LexisNexis: Martindale-Hubbell (www.Martindale.com)

"Jai immediately filled a gap in our web development area. He quickly fit in with the team, the role and the demands of the job. What struck me about Jai was his thorough documentation explaining his intent, status and summary on projects he worked on. I personally hope our paths cross again many times in the future." Ferdinand Feola, Senior Vice President, Keystone Nazareth Bank and Trust (www.KNBT.com)

"We hired Jai a couple of years ago to maintain our old church website. He did a great job at that task! During that time, Jai suggested a 'facelift' for the site - same contents, new and more interesting packaging. Upon approval, he accomplished that in a short time, making the whole site more interesting and attractive. In late 2004, we asked him to propose a complete renovation, adding numerous features - news and events, 'Ask the Pastor' question and answer capability, bulletin boards, file system for approved users, and so on. Jai spent the early months of 2005 to gather info from users, specify the site requirements, layout the design, and prototype some sections. He than ran user tests on the prototype, incorporated comments and test results, and then built and documented the site. He created the training documents and delivered the basic training to our church staff in an interesting and understandable manner. The complete site went live in the summer of 2005, and we like the results!" Dick Tiel, Director of Ministry at Bethlehem Church in Randolph, NJ (www.BethlehemChurch.org)

"The website Jai designed is fabulous, and any time I needed something re-tooled to make things easier for me, he got it done in a timely manor. I would definitely work with Jai again in the future and recommend him to anyone." Keith McGonigle, Drum Instructor and owner of www.KeithMcGonigle.com
